News The new version of Romhack Plaza
- Thread starter Romhack Plaza
- Start date
I'm havin' a smooth experience so far.

Try visiting the forum before going to the main site, or clear your browser's cache.I'm trying to edit an existing hack submission and site keep asking me to "login" while visiting the existing hack page.
I liked it the way it was. It was simple and easy to navigate around, now it's confusing, messy and lots of things aren't loading properly. I say ''If it's not broken, don't fix it''.
If there are any interface issues, please let me know so I can fix them.I liked it the way it was. It was simple and easy to navigate around, now it's confusing, messy and lots of things aren't loading properly. I say ''If it's not broken, don't fix it''.
It's truly a completely different website now, nothing like the old one. I think I'll get used to it pretty fast.
The forum section loads everything normal but the Romhack Plaza main section part with all the entries looks weird, words are all out of whack and other words are going out of the boxes. If there are any interface issues, please let me know so I can fix them.
Maybe it's gonna take time to get used to but at the moment I really don't like what i'm seeing.
The issues related to responsiveness will be resolved as soon as possible; that is my priority. The forum section loads everything normal but the Romhack Plaza main section part with all the entries looks weird, words are all out of whack and other words are going out of the boxes.

Something I noticed though is that there's no button for seeing all your posted entries and the number on the notifications icon doesn't always appear. Like it only pops up if you're on the main page and not in the forum.

As for the notification bubbles, that will be fixed.
I see now, there's literally a button on your profile that redirects you to a specific part of the Database section. To view your entries, go to your profile, select “Entries,” and click “Go to this page.”
Thanks for letting me know about it.
Okay. It's more of an issue with the display of everything rather than responsiveness, the thumbnails are cramped and squished and there's no spacing of paragraphs. Really hoping it's not an incompatibility issue on my end, I am using windows 7 but the old design loaded perfectly with no weird things. The issues related to responsiveness will be resolved as soon as possible; that is my priority.
How am I supposed to send a screen shot?If you can send a screen of your problems. I'll see if it's a responsive problem or an incompatibility issue.
You can take a screenshot of your screen with Print screen key and send it here. How am I supposed to send a screen shot?
This new upgrade has also messed up the ROM hashes that were listed on my entries. For example, the Palette Fix hack for the Digimon game on WSC had the hashes for a GameCube game!
But most of the time, hashes are pretty much gone as if they were never there.

I did one better, here's a 1 minute video of me navigating around the entries. I have a feeling it's the site, only the entries themselves are messy, everything else surrounding them looks normal.
You have to download the video first.

Since many people just put their hashes on the box any old way—or didn’t use the format we were using—unfortunately, quite a few hashes couldn’t be recovered. This new upgrade has also messed up the ROM hashes that were listed on my entries. Maybe in the future I’ll try to do it again with a simpler rule. That’s the price you pay when new versions change radically—things break.
As for in-game NGC detection, if the hash was empty, I imagine it’s a fallback. If it was the same, it’s like playing the lottery, lol.
