This patch restores the CPU-side raw HP damage values for eight hidden characters whose player-controlled and CPU-controlled damage tables differ in the original game. The affected characters are: Geese Goenitz Demitri Dan Orochi Iori Serious Mr. Karate Violent Ken Shin Akuma SVC Chaos contains separate 0x40-byte raw damage tables for these characters. The CPU-side table is located 0x900 bytes after the corresponding player-side table. This patch copies the original CPU values back to the player-side tables. This is a restoration patch, not a rebalance patch. It does not increase any move beyond its original CPU Boss value. Moves that are relatively weak even when used by the CPU remain unchanged. For example, Serious Mr. Karate's player-controlled damage is noticeably reduced in the original game. After applying this patch, his attacks use the same raw damage values as the CPU Boss version. Shin Akuma likewise uses the original CPU-side values, including the relatively low damage originally assigned to some of his super moves. The patch was dynamically verified on Orochi Iori, Serious Mr. Karate, Violent Ken, and Shin Akuma using FBNeo execution tracing. Geese, Goenitz, Demitri, and Dan use the same Human/CPU table structure and were identified through static comparison. Athena and Red Arremer are not modified because their Human and CPU raw damage tables are already identical. Requirements / Compatibility Designed as an optional add-on for Dodowang[EGCG]'s EnHiCharV2 – Enable All Hidden Characters with Portraits. Recommended configuration: EnHiCharV2 – required EnHiCharV2a – optional Athena portrait replacement EnHiCharV2b – CPU damage restoration V2b does not overlap the P-ROM offsets modified by V2 or V2a and can be used together with either configuration. Installation Place the included files in the appropriate FBNeo IPS directory: 3-EnHiCharV2b.dat 3-EnHiCharV2b-p1.ips 3-EnHiCharV2b-p2.ips Enable EnHiCharV2 and EnHiCharV2b in FBNeo's IPS manager. EnHiCharV2a may also be enabled if desired. A clean restart is recommended after changing IPS selections. Do not load an old save state created with a different patch configuration.
