Thanks for the info.
I'm a programmer, but I don't know about disc/rom editing. What software should I use to make these changes? Or do you know where I can find more information about this?

For what it is worth. You can use these codes with a hex editor to tweak the knife to your liking.

I used to try to use the knife to kill zombies whenever I could in RE4 and 5. Recently I launched RE 3 or 2 and saw that it took like 30 knife hits before a zombie died, so this seemed to be a great idea.
But now it seems the knife is too powerful. Most zombies die in one hit. That doesn't look that fun to me. Sorry.
