This Sonic 2 hack adds all the cut zones from the various betas and prototype versions onto the final version of Sonic 2. Zones like Lost Wood Zone, Rock Desert, Genocide City and Hidden Palace are chucked in alongside the regular zones. To make 'Sonic 2 & Knuckles Long Version 2.0.ips' work, simply use the 'Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 2 (W) [f1].bin' rom.
