I'm looking for a Japanese translator for an English retranslation of Final Fantasy Legend II.
I'm working as the script editor. I currently have a working script that's a mix of the fan translation from the DS version and text that was translated from scratch by another translator I worked with. That translator doesn't seem to be able to work on the project any longer. The script is close to complete, but I want to ensure the accuracy of the translation.
Basically I'm looking for a new translator who can go through the Japanese script and the new English script and do a comparison. I want the translator to flag any pieces of text that have issues and either leave a note (for minor changes) or a fresh translation (for larger changes). I'll then integrate the new translations into the script (making wording tweaks to accomodate the limited screen real estate, correcting typos, and doing all the formatting and such).
Familiarity with Final Fantasy Legend II would be a huge plus but isn't strictly necessary. If you're interested in helping, feel free to send me a direct message.
I don't need any technical help at the moment. That aspect of the project should be all set. The completed project will have some neat features in addition to the new script.
